Beginner

1 package frozen puff pastry (such as Pepperidge Farm)
Granulated sugar (for sprinkling)
Vanilla ice cream
Chocolate syrup

Ingredients
Step 1
Thaw & Cut:
Let the puff pastry thaw in the fridge until pliable. Unfold each sheet and slice into nine squares (like a tic-tac-toe grid) to make 18 pieces total.
Step 2
Sugar Sandwich:
Place one square down, sprinkle generously with sugar, and top with another square to form a “sugar sandwich.”
Step 3
Into the Iron:
Preheat your waffle iron to medium-high (around an 8 on a 1–10 scale). Add the sugar sandwiches and close the lid. Cook for about 6 minutes, or until puffed, golden, and caramelized.

Instructions

Carefully remove the hot waffles
Top each with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
Drizzle generously with chocolate syrup.
Serve immediately.
