Frozen Strawberry Burrata with Balsamic & Basil

When it's simply too hot to cook, this refreshing no-cook appetizer comes together in minutes. Creamy burrata is topped with finely grated frozen strawberries, finished with balsamic glaze, olive oil, flaky salt, and fresh basil for a sweet-and-savory dish that's as beautiful as it is delicious.

Ingredients

  • 2 small balls burrata, torn in half

  • 4–6 frozen strawberries

  • Aged balsamic or balsamic glaze

  • Extra virgin olive oil

  • Maldon salt (flaky sea salt)

  • Fresh basil, for garnish

  • Toasted bread, for serving

Instructions

Step 1: Arrange the torn burrata on a serving plate and season with flaky salt.

Step 2: Using a microplane, grate the frozen strawberries directly over the burrata until well coated.

Step 3: Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic glaze.

Step 4: Garnish with fresh basil.

Serving & Finishing Touches

Serve immediately with toasted bread. For extra flavor, rub the toast with a clove of garlic before serving.
