Chocolate Truffles

These rich, homemade chocolate truffles are simple to prepare yet feel decadent and gift-worthy.

  • 8 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate

  • 4 oz heavy cream

  • 1 tbsp AF Sweet Baking Spice

  • Pinch sea salt

  • 1 cup cocoa powder

Ingredients

Step 1: Bring heavy cream to a simmer in a small saucepan.


Step 2: Turn off heat and stir in chocolate and baking spice until melted.


Step 3: Transfer mixture to a bowl and whisk until smooth.


Step 4: Chill in refrigerator until firm (about 30 minutes).


Step 5: Scoop small portions and roll into balls.


Step 6: Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to coat.


Step 7: Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Instructions

Serve the truffles slightly chilled on a small platter or in mini paper cups, and let them sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before eating so the centers soften and the chocolate flavor fully blooms.
